Dog Training Services for the San Francisco Bay Area

Classes are a fun and effective way to train your dog in a small group setting. Here we train you to train your dog. Each week we introduce new commands which you will practice at home.

What are the advantages of group classes?

Group classes cost less and dogs learn to work around other dogs right from the beginning. As long as you come to class, pay attention and practice at home, your results can be excellent. We have had dogs win AKC “high in trial” awards after completing our 10-week class.

How large are your classes?

Puppy classes have a maximum of 8 dogs. Basic obedience classes are 10 or less. Smaller class size ensures more individual attention. This way you aren’t “lost in the crowd” and we get to know you and your dog individually.

How often do classes meet?

Classes meet once a week for an hour each time.

How often do new classes start?

New classes start about once a month year-round. Contact us for the starting date of our next group session.

What classes do you offer?

We are currently offering two group class options:

  • a 6-week “Puppy Class” for pups 12 to 16 weeks
  • a 10-week Basic Obedience Class for dogs 16 weeks and older.

What will my puppy learn in “Puppy Class”?

Puppies will learn to enjoy and act appropriately with other dogs and people. They will also develop a more willing and responsive attitude while learning to walk well on a leash, wait at doors and gates, come when called, sit and lie down. Solutions for “puppy problems” are also included.

What is included in the “Basic Obedience Class?”

  • Appropriate Social Interaction
  • Leash Manners
  • Heeling
  • Sit
  • Stay
  • Coming when called
  • Lie down
  • Stand
  • Problem Solving: Pulling on leash, jumping up, mouthing, chewing, digging, housebreaking, barking
